Good Bye my Beautiful Aunt

Well, the time came this morning, for my beautiful Aunt Ellen to leave this world. My dad's baby sister has gone to heaven. There is such a sadness in my heart today. My only consolation is that she is finally free of the fear and the pain and the sickness. My grief is partly selfish that I got to know her so late in the game and didn't have the benefit of her presence in my life until I was all grown up. And then for such a short time. My grief is greatly for my dad, who loves her so much and will cry for his baby sis. It's greatly for Curtis, who loved her better than anyone ever could and will cry for his sweetie pie. It's for Ellen who lost her life so young and will not grow old with the love of her life. It's for the whole world, who whether they know it or not, has lost a precious treasure. One that gave love and compassion for everyone, and saw beauty in every day things. One that had magic in her words and got pleasure out of giving to others. She will always be in my heart, for evermore, and every good thing I ever do again will be in her name.

Aunt Ellen gave all her energy to helping and comforting others, even tho she was so sick herself. My heart aches for Curtis, the love of her life, for my Dad, her fave brother, for everyone who was ever touched by her kind words and/or helping hand.
Rest in peace Aunt Ellen, you'll never be forgotten. You'll always have a place in our hearts. You'll be greatly missed, and always loved.

I am crying for the loss of such a beautiful life and share in the grief of this wonderful woman. I am so very sorry that Ellen left this earth, unable to be with the love of her life, and for Curtis, who must go on without her, and for the rest of her close family and friends. I am so sorry, Sharon.

She was a true treasure... she helped me with my fight with cancer at a time when she needed support herself... she is an Angel & she will be sadly missed by her online friends :(

She was such a beautiful woman Sharon. My condolences to you and the whole family. How nice of you to mention your Dad. Many times she told me about her favorite brother, as she called him.

I would like to add this...Yes you had one of the most wonderful Aunties in the world, but Ellen also had some of the most wonderful nieces there ever were.

It was an honour and privilege to attend your dear aunt's memorial service today. I didn't introduce myself to your dad as we filed past - but I thought of you. Your dad and uncle did such a touching tribute. You'd be so proud.

Dear Sharon, please, resume writing in your blog, you have so much funny stories to tell. Your aunt Ellen introduced you to us and she was so fond of you and Alicia. I am sure she wants you to write again.
Take care

I've been here a number of times and almost made the same request as Herman - but then I haven't gotten around to posting either, so I figured I wouldn't say anything. But...I hope you are able to update us soon. I'm planning on getting back into blogging in a bit. Hope things are going well for you. Has the move been made, yet?
